Bio

I am a professional percussionist / drum set player here in the Nashville area. I have a degree in music from Furman University as well as two years of Masters work in “World and Ethnic Percussion Performance” from Winthrop University. I have been playing percussion for over 16 years, performing with countless ensembles across the southeast. I have played with numerous live groups, and in many cases, I have done session work with those same groups. I have played on everything from country, pop, rock, hip-hop, club remixes, Christian, blues, fusion and jazz. When I am not in town recording or working with various artists, I am out touring with The Ranchhands, a modern country band. I have toured with them through Europe in more than 9 different countries, and toured most of the lower 48 states.

In addition to touring, session work, and various live engagements, I am also called on to teach clinics in percussion recording techniques and drum set instruction across the southeast. I hold endorsements from Audix Microphones, Treeworks Chimes, and SwirlyGig stick holders. I have all professional gear, and a professional attitude and work ethic. I am on time, or early, ready to start tracking usually before the engineer is. I can chart tunes for myself in as little as two passes, and I can usually get the part tracked right in one to two passes. I am open to suggestions on sounds, techniques, ideas and parts. I also bring a large array of techniques and instruments to complement most any project, no matter how small, or how large.Â
